BISTES

Born in 1941 in Albi (north of Toulouse), Bernard BISTES painting career has been without boundries . A XV century castle in the Tarn, his enclave of solitude, houses his works. And today, after spending 40 years observing his natural surroundings, he has become a master of french classicism. His paintings are a pure and unfettered look at reality, devoid of intellectual complexity. Ordinary subjects of daily life are depicted with verve and vivacity and are far removed from photographic academicism.
